pdf image to 3D printing

I was asked to do 3D printing of a pdf image from my friend.
 
to print an image,
We need to convert the image to 'svg', the vector image.

convert pdf to png
 
If we search from search engine, we can find some free converter 'from pdf to png'. 
 
ofcourse,
It is better having a converter 'from pdf to svg'. 
 
but mostly that converter ask us to pay for that. 
so, if we want to work with free converter, we have to satisfy with the png file.

now, Let's convert the png to svg. 
there is free website called
www.figma.com

and open new design file.
bring your png image to your design space. 
 

open design pannel from figma

bring your png image

 
select 'svg' tab.
simply export it as a 'svg' file. 

that's all. 
before we download it, make sure that if we chose only the image part from the png file. if it is not, you can select vector image from the png, seperately. or add your design work if it needed.

to print in 3D, we need stl file.
so, we have still some way to go. 
 
open tinkercad
and import your 'svg' on tinkercad. 
 

import svg file to tinkercad

make your 3D model design. 
 

 
 
 and export your file as a 'stl' file.

 convert 'stl' file to 'Gcode' using 3d printing slicer. 
 
your 3D printer has it's own slicer.

and print them from 'Gcode'.
